Troubleshooting Your ezDrive™ Thruster

**ATTENTION - Failure to follow this guide or dismantling of thruster system components beyond the steps outlined in this guide WILL VOID ANY WARRANTY**

Preliminary Troubleshooting Steps

Many times, a problem can be solved quickly with one of the 3 following steps:

  1. Disconnect power to the thruster by tripping the ezDrive™ breaker. Then, check the propeller to see that it turns and is not obstructed. If the propellor is obstructed, please continue with the completion of the full form below so that we may provide guidance for clearing the obstruction.
  2. Reset your circuit breaker. If that doesn't fix the problem, continue on to step 3.
  3. Check your battery to ensure a minimum of 12.5v output at terminals.
    IF LESS THAN 12.5V, THE BATTERIES ON BOARD THE VESSEL MUST BE CHARGED OR REPLACED.

If none of the preliminary steps above solved your problem, then continue on with the following detailed troubleshooting steps.

We will guide you through a full series of troubleshooting steps after you complete the following process. We need ALL of this information in order to best serve you. 

IMPORTANT!! DO NOT DISASSEMBLE YOUR THRUSTER!


1) Take Photos

Please take the following photographs of your ezDrive™ installation before disconnecting your ezDrive™ Thruster and completing the rest of the troubleshooting process:


A: (3) exterior photos of the installation of your ezDrive™ thruster (1 from each side)
B: (1) photo of the interior mounting of your ezDrive™
C: (2) photos of the iBox including:
    (1) iBox location showing exterior connections, control harness/plug and serial number
    (1) iBox with lid removed showing interior connections.
